In-Person tutoring becomes available when tutors in your city are recruited. Next, Learning Bridge will contact the city's school districts about collaboration. If approved, tutors will use a school's facility for sessions. If your location is not on our map currently, you can always contact us with requests.
The registration form (to become a student) will ask for a day of week, as well as a time of day that best accommodates your student. Your student will then be matched to an available tutor. This schedule and tutor will remain consistent unless otherwise noted.
In 2021, researchers found that the pandemic had disproportionately disadvantaged low-income students in earlier grades. Learning is actually expected to accelerate during these years, but due to the pandemic, this growth was severely restricted. Learning Bridge wants to do its part to fix that.
Donations allow us to run our day-to-day operations, such as website maintenance (site hosting and domain maintenance), marketing, and scheduling software usage- which can add up to be very pricy! In other words, donations allow us to keep up our internet presence which is essential for expanding our reach.
Students in grades K-8 living in households earning equal to or less than $60,000 a year are eligible to apply for tutoring. The application for

Learning Bridge is looking to recruit tutors currently enrolled in a U.S high school. Tutors must be at least 14 years old. All tutors submit a detailed application for review. (Tutors must have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.6 or equivalent to apply). If the application is accepted, tutors will participate in a thorough and comprehensive interview, the feedback of which will be processed with higher management. Upon acceptance, tutors will attend a training session and complete the Tutor Training Curriculum.

After the first session, all tutors will be equipped with your students' curriculum, which means that they will be ready to help your student succeed in class! Tutors are trained to support students with homework, school projects, test preparation, and any additional classwork. Tutors are also responsible for creating a custom lesson plan for their students to reference during sessions.
